Welcome to ClickTech ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when using our platform at clicktech.com.bd.
ClickTech is a marketplace for digital products — gift cards, gaming top-ups, premium subscriptions and software licences — sold by independent, verified merchants. Because these products are delivered to you electronically rather than shipped, the information we need is different from a typical online shop: we never ask for a delivery address, but a merchant may need details such as a game player ID or an email address to activate what you bought.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that data. By using ClickTech, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Your full name and email address when you register, plus a password which we store only in hashed form — never as plain text. You may optionally add a phone number and profile photo later.
- Order Fulfilment Details: Some digital products cannot be delivered without information only you can provide. At checkout the merchant may ask for details such as a game player ID or zone ID, the email address an account or invite should be sent to, a device ID, or a profile link. You choose whether to provide these by choosing whether to place the order.
- Payment Information:Your ClickTech wallet balance and transaction history. Wallet top-ups are completed on the payment gateway's own secure page — we receive a confirmation and a gateway transaction reference, but your card number, PIN and OTP never reach ClickTech.
- Messages & Attachments: Messages you exchange with a merchant or with our support team, including any images or files you send. These are stored so both you and the merchant can refer back to the conversation.
- Reviews: The rating and comment you leave on a product, which are shown publicly alongside your name.
- Merchant & Verification Data: If you apply to sell on ClickTech, we collect your business details and identity documents — see the section below.
- Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring URLs, collected automatically to keep the platform secure and working correctly.
Merchant Verification (KYC)
This section applies only if you apply to become a merchant. Buyers are never asked for any of it.
Because merchants receive money through our platform, Bangladeshi financial rules require us to confirm they are who they say they are. To get verified you submit:
- Identity documents: Your National ID or passport (front and back).
- Financial details: A bank statement or cheque, your bank account name, number, bank and branch, and any bKash or Nagad numbers you want to be paid to.
- Business details: Your business name, description, address, website and contact details, plus your store logo and banner.
These documents are reviewed by our admin team purely to approve or reject your application and to pay you. They are never shown to buyers or other merchants, and we retain them for as long as the law requires us to keep records of who we have paid.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Deliver your order — including passing the fulfilment details you entered to the merchant so they can activate your product.
- Take payment from your wallet, credit top-ups to it, and process refunds back into it.
- Send order confirmations, delivery notifications and support replies.
- Let you and the merchant message each other about an order, before or after purchase.
- Review refund requests and settle disputes fairly between buyer and merchant.
- Verify merchants and pay out their earnings.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Improve our platform by understanding which products and pages people use.
- Send promotional offers and newsletters — only with your consent, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third parties only in the following circumstances:
- The Merchant You Buy From: This is the most important one to understand. Merchants are independent businesses, not ClickTech staff. When you place an order, the merchant receives your name and the fulfilment details you entered at checkout — which may include a game account ID or an email address — because they cannot deliver your product without them. They can also see messages you send them. They never see your payment details or your wallet balance.
- Payment Gateway: Wallet top-ups are handled by our payment partner (SSLCommerz), which processes cards, bKash, Nagad and other local methods on its own secure page under its own privacy policy.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or a governmental authority.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the new entity under the same privacy protections.
We do not share your data with couriers or delivery companies, because nothing we sell is physically shipped.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls limiting who within our organisation can view your information. Identity documents submitted for merchant verification are restricted to the admin team reviewing them.
While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to log out after each session on shared devices.
Data Retention
We keep your data only for as long as there is a reason to. In practice that means:
- Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
- Order, wallet and payout records are kept even after account deletion, because we are legally required to retain financial records — including records of who we paid and what was bought.
- Merchant verification documents are kept for as long as the law requires us to hold proof of identity for the people we pay.
- Messages between you and a merchant are kept while either of you may still need them to resolve a dispute about an order.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information, or update it yourself from your account settings.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data. Note that we cannot delete the financial records described in the Data Retention section above, and we cannot un-send fulfilment details that a merchant has already received to complete your order.
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send. You will still receive essential emails about your orders and payments.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at clicktechbd247@gmail.com.
Children's Privacy
ClickTech is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Many of our products — gaming top-ups in particular — are popular with younger users, so if you are under 18 please use the platform only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and use their payment method with their permission. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of ClickTech after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
